Classes in City Kitchen at Reading Terminal Market

Learn to make fresh & fun cocktails w/ 13th Street Cocktail Catering

Join Aaron Gordon, owner of 13th Street Cocktails, as he leads us through how to make delicious cocktails using herbs and produce from your garden (or Iovine brother produce). Each participant will have their own mixing station to practice making some of Aaron’s signature cocktails. We will be using the very smooth and delicious Tito’s vodka as the base spirit. Light fare will be served to complement your mixed libations.

Each guest will receive a hand juicer and recipe guide to take home.

Campfires and s’mores are synonymous with summer. There is nothing like sitting outside with family and roasting marshmallows, but rainy days and mosquitos can sometimes force the party inside.
Join City Kitchen and Pastry Chef Elizabeth from Flying Monkey Bakery to learn how to convert campfire classics to amazing kitchen creations.

Saturday, Agust 27, 4-6 pm

Chef Careda is taking her knowledge of American and Caribbean cooking and fusing them together for this exciting and flavorful brunch.

The demonstration will start off sweet with “fried festival”, a delicious Caribbean-style hushpuppy. Careda will also be preparing green bananas and cornmeal porridge with cinnamon, sugar and fresh vanilla and nutmeg.  No brunch is complete without a savory element. An authentic Caribbean green vegetable dish called callaloo will be paired with a sauteed codfish topped with plum tomatoes, onions and bell peppers.

Schools will be in session, but this crave-worthy, Caribbean class will help extend that summer feeling!
